Paul Moseley, Biography I've got to confess that I usually "borrow" most of our guest's biography off web sites and/or promotional literature - but, there just isn't that much written about Paul Moseley. That's probably due to the fact that he's pretty much a local guitar player as a lead in country and gospel bands out in Western Kentucky - and, playing solo with his son Mike on bass. It's the latter that makes Paul a very special finger style guitar player - he's got one of the smoothest thumbs in the business. Yet, very few people know of this brilliant unassuming gentle giant of a thumb picker.I (like a lot of other people) fell head over heels in love with Paul's playing the first year I attended the Chet Atkins Convention (CAAS) in Nashville, TN. He freely admits to being quite surprised that folks like me are immediately attracted to his style of playing - and, so many of us. With a true look of wonderment he says, "I don't know what they are all excited about." But, I do - he's spent a lifetime practicing the precise movements required to play thumb picking style guitar like (if not very similar) to his hero Chet Atkins. He's got the tone, the smoothness, and a rock solid tempo in his thumb. He is a pure pleasure to listen to. Palmer Moore - Organizer
