Barbara Nokes - principal  Barbara is a plank owner of the FJO since the days of Oley's. She is a freelance musician and teacher in the central Ohio area and a graduate of Capital University and the Eastman school of music holding degrees in Music performance. Barbara hopes to be an inspiration to all her students that horn players DO belong in big bands!

Todd Swatsler - Todd is a retired trial lawyer and active musician.  He graduated from Ohio State with a BA in Music before attending law school.  After taking 15 years off, Todd got back to horn playing.  In addition to spending Monday evenings with the FJO, Todd performs regularly with the Village Brass Quintet and the Ohio Capital Winds.  Todd's love of jazz comes from his dad, whom he describes as "the biggest Kenton fan ever."  Todd describes the opportunity to play alongside the amazing musicians of FJO as a real thrill:  "This just isn't the kind of thing a lot of horn players get to do."

John Busic - John has been with the FJO since November of '07.  He is a full time professional chemist (environmental analytical) gaining his degree from OSU.  However, his love for music started in high school (Hamilton Township HS) where he learned to play trumpet on into college.  John owes his appreciation for big band to his HS directory, Richard Frye.
