Rebecca
"Becky" Ogden, the God Mother of the Famous Jazz Orchestra (she
gave Vaughn Wiester his first permanent weekly venue for his FJO, "She's the reason I have a
band.....man." )
- deservedly called it quits on (June 3rd, 2017 after many years in
hosting her "little slices of jazz heaven" (Bungalow Jazz)
out of her Victorian style home on 5th Ave in Columbus, Ohio. Much
has been written in FJO eNewsletters over the years of the
debt the "band" and the Columbus jazz community (both fans and
musicians) owe her personal and financial commitment to "superb jazz
in a small venue." Thanks to Brad
Reardon for sending in the first few pictures, below.)
