Richard & Julie Smith
Legendary English fingerstyle guitarist Richard Smith, who now calls Nashville home, is a child prodigy turned guitar genius. When he was only 5, Richard Smith heard his father picking out a Merle Travis/Chet Atkins tune on the guitar. He asked his dad to show him how to play it. By day’s end, Richard had learned both the chords and the melody. At 11, Chet Atkins, the "Godfather" of finger style guitar, invited him to play onstage during his concert at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London to the acclaim of audience and critics alike. Now at 28, he is simply awesome!
